To keep one of those wackos from pulling my trailer release. When i parked i would set the trailer brake then ease off the clutch to apply tension then set my tractor brakes. The trailer release cant be pulled that way . Iam enjoying the videos ,jam up job 👍

Smooth calm training Many years ago , i met my trainer one evening at a yard and we head out on to I95 north . After 30 min . We pulled off to the side of interstate 95 , he said ha" have you ever drove a truck " i replied no . He said jump behind the wheel and lets go ,we have to be in Mt Airy, by 6am North Carolina in the morning . My clutch leg started jumping like a jack hammer finally relaxing we took off . He said no sudden movements with the steering ,the sheet rock will slide like a deck of cards. I only had a CDL permit and zero experience , never been behind the wheel of a truck in my life. In all my years of driving i never got to experience the automatic transmission. Trucks were showing up with automatic transmissions when i was getting out of driving . I bet it takes alot off of driving and makes it more enjoyable . I just subscribed they did well. With an easy going trainer it sure makes a world of difference .

Hi Steve, I have a question, when start reversing back to passenger side, at the very beginning of backing, when your right trailer wheel pass the first tandem a little bit, then you make a hard left, then the next step is making a hard right, my question is when do you make a hard right?

Sounds like he just needs to find a new path in life and forget about driving trucks. If he would like to stay in the transportation industry there are heaps of other jobs that would be better suited to his medical problems. When one door closes it’s an opportunity to open many other doors to a new path in life. Driving a truck isn’t the be all and end all of life. There is way more things out there that he could do and be getting paid for so he can cover his own expenses and have good medical cover.

How i get you as my trainer?

So this is what cdl school is like now days? Explains why so many are wrecking and tearing up equipment. Nothing in this video is real world skills nor is their training pad anything like the real world. Distributors don’t have flat and smooth lots, nor do most of the truck stops……

Hello i just failed my test last week with this maneuver we been practicing in a 53ft at schoʻol at the testing site they have us driving a 40ft which is a total difference im doing my setup like this. Should my wheels be before the cones at the box since its shorter im confused any suggestions the truck only has one tire in the back instead of 2. I really need to past

So are you a prime inc trainer or what I'm confused I'm trying to follow along and it sounds like both or one is going through a cdl class? Also how is prime inc for a new cdl driver? How's the pay look like starting? Is the company known for having sketchy trainers? Haven't applied to prime but thinking about it cause swift being a bitch for whatever reason.

Ive tested for Prime 3 times now. 😅 once to get accepted into the trucking program. Randomly selected a month into training. Then Randomly selected again a few weeks ago. I don't mind though. I know I'm squeaky clean
